Getting Started

How do I start using Omina Bot?

  1. Find @omina_official_bot on Telegram

  2. Send /start command

  3. Enter your licence code (if you have one)

  4. Add your Kalshi API key

  5. Start trading!

Where do I get a licence code?

Contact Omina support to obtain a licence code. Licence codes provide access to the bot's features.

How do I get a Kalshi API key?

  1. Log in to your Kalshi account at kalshi.comarrow-up-right

  2. Navigate to your account settings

  3. Find the API section

  4. Generate a new API key and secret

  5. Copy both the key and secret

  6. Enter them in the bot when prompted

Important: Your API keys are encrypted and stored securely. Never share your API keys with anyone.

What features require a Kalshi API key?

Trading features require an API key:

  • Place orders

  • View positions

  • View open orders

  • View trade history

  • View balance

Market browsing and statistics are available without an API key.

Do I need a Kalshi account?

Yes, you need a Kalshi account to use trading features. You can browse markets and view statistics without an account, but to place orders and manage positions, you'll need:

  • A Kalshi account

  • An API key from that account

Common Issues

Bot Not Responding

Symptoms: Bot doesn't respond to commands or messages.

Solutions:

  1. Try sending /start again

  2. Check your internet connection

  3. Wait a few seconds and try again (the bot may be processing other requests)

  4. Make sure you're messaging the correct bot (@omina_official_bot)

  5. Contact support if the issue persists

"No licence found" Error

Symptoms: Bot shows "🔴 Licence: NONE" and prompts for licence code.

Solutions:

  1. Enter your licence code using the "🔑 Input licence code" button

  2. Ensure you're entering the correct licence code (check for typos)

  3. Contact support if your licence code isn't working

  4. Verify with support that your licence code is active

"Licence Expired" Error

Symptoms: Bot shows "🔴 Licence: EXPIRED".

Solutions:

  1. Contact Omina support to renew your licence

  2. Enter a new licence code if provided by support

  3. Check the expiry date shown in the bot

API Key Not Working

Symptoms: Trading features don't work, or you see API key errors.

Solutions:

  1. Verify your API key and secret are correct (check for typos)

  2. Check if your Kalshi API key is active in your Kalshi account settings

  3. Delete and re-add your API key in the bot:

    • Go to Settings → Delete API Key

    • Confirm deletion

    • Add your API key again from the main menu

  4. Ensure your API key has the necessary permissions in your Kalshi account

  5. Verify your Kalshi account is in good standing

Orders Not Executing

Symptoms: Orders are placed but not executing.

Solutions:

  1. Check your Kalshi account balance (you need sufficient funds)

  2. Verify the market is still open (markets can close)

  3. For limit orders, check if the order price is within market bounds

  4. Review your order details before confirming

  5. Check Kalshi's status page for any API issues

  6. Wait a moment - market orders may take a few seconds to execute

Balance Not Showing

Symptoms: Balance shows as "—" or is incorrect.

Solutions:

  1. Ensure your API key is correctly configured

  2. Check your Kalshi account directly to verify your balance

  3. Try refreshing the menu (send /start again)

  4. Delete and re-add your API key if the issue persists

  5. Contact support if the issue continues

Can't Find a Market

Symptoms: Can't find a specific market when searching.

Solutions:

  1. Try different search terms or keywords

  2. Browse trending or latest markets instead

  3. Check if the market is still open

  4. Use filters to narrow down results

  5. The market may have closed or not exist yet

Troubleshooting

Reset Bot State

If the bot seems stuck or not responding correctly:

  1. Send /start to return to the main menu

  2. If that doesn't work, try sending a text message (the bot will respond)

  3. Wait a few seconds and try again

  4. Contact support if the issue persists

Clear API Key

To remove and re-add your API key:

  1. Go to Settings → Delete API Key

  2. Confirm deletion

  3. Add your API key again from the main menu

  4. Make sure to enter both the key and secret correctly

Check Bot Status

  • The bot should respond to /start immediately

  • If there's a delay, the bot may be processing other requests

  • If the bot is consistently unresponsive, contact support

If you don't see the expected menu options:

  1. Check your licence status (you may need to enter a licence code)

  2. Verify your API key is added (for trading features)

  3. Send /start to refresh the menu

  4. Contact support if options are still missing

Feature Questions

How do I place an order?

  1. Click "📝 Place Order" from the main menu

  2. Search or browse to find a market

  3. Select "Yes" or "No" side

  4. Choose "Buy" or "Sell"

  5. Select "Market" (immediate) or "Limit" (at price)

  6. For limit orders, enter your desired price

  7. Review and confirm the order

How do I sell a position?

  1. Click "📈 My Positions" from the main menu

  2. Select the position you want to sell

  3. Choose percentage: 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%

  4. Select "Market" (immediate) or "Limit" (at price)

  5. For limit orders, enter your desired price

  6. Confirm the sale

How do I browse markets?

  1. Click "🔍 Browse Markets" from the main menu

  2. Choose to browse by:

    • Trending: Most popular markets

    • Latest: Newest markets

    • Search: Search by keyword

  3. Use filters to narrow results

  4. Click on a market to view details

How do I set up volume alerts?

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Toggle "🔔 Alerts" on

  3. Alerts will notify you when markets hit volume thresholds

Note: Alert configuration options may be available in future updates.

How do I change my timezone?

  1. Go to Settings → Timezone

  2. Navigate through timezone options

  3. Select your timezone

  4. Dates and times will display in your selected timezone

What is auto-confirm orders?

When enabled, orders are placed immediately without a confirmation step. When disabled, you'll see a confirmation screen before orders are placed.

To toggle:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Toggle "Auto-confirm Orders"

Recommendation: Keep this disabled until you're comfortable with the bot, so you can review orders before confirming.

How do I cancel an order?

  1. Click "📋 Open Orders" from the main menu

  2. Select the order you want to cancel

  3. Click "Cancel Order"

  4. Confirm cancellation

How do I view my trade history?

  1. Click "📜 Trade History" from the main menu

  2. Browse through your past trades

  3. See details for each trade including price, quantity, and execution time

What information is shown in positions?

When viewing positions, you'll see:

  • Market name

  • Side (Yes/No)

  • Quantity (number of contracts)

  • Average entry price

  • Current market price

  • Unrealized PnL (profit/loss)
